Description: Provides radiologic care to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Operates PET/CT scanner unit to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed.1. Performs venipuncture as required for exam. 2. Prepare the patient for the exam by administering precise amounts of radionuclides.3. Performs series of exposures as appropriate, by selecting proper protocols from the machine.4. Prepares patient for exam by completing all questionnaires and other necessary documentation. 5. Educate patient and/or family on procedure to be performed. Checks prep and maintains patient exam, history and completes exams in EMR.6. Survey all incoming shipments containing radioactive material.7. Measures all doses prescribed for patients in a dose calibrator.8. Always use proper safety precautions when working with radioactive material.9. Performs QA on all equipment and measuring devices.10. Strict adherence to all NRC regulations with record keeping.11. Maintains exact records for receipt and return of all radionuclides.12. Order all diagnostic radionuclides with proper approval.13. Uses PACS for imaging/exam storage and the RIS.14. Maintains and rotates supplies in assigned workstation and demonstrates cost efficient use of departmental resources.15. Adheres to dress code.16. Functions as a preceptor to orient new employees.17. Meets all departmental specific competencies.18. Adheres to medical center policies addressing infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines.19. Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with the medical center code of conduct and applicable corporate policies and procedures.20. Maintains patient confidentiality and treats patients and families with respect and dignity.21. Performs any other duties as assigned or requested.
