Job Purpose:

As an Alteryx Consultant - Fund Accounting (Audit Support), your primary responsibility will be to create and maintain sophisticated Alteryx workflows tailored to enhance the Fund Accounting team's annual audit process. You will also play a role in migrating workflows to Microsoft tools and collaborate closely with the team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and manage complex Alteryx workflows to support the Fund Accounting team's annual audit operations.
  • Execute Alteryx workflows to verify and replicate financial calculations and processes for the audit cycle.
  • Transition existing Alteryx workflows to Microsoft Power BI/PowerApps.
  • Work directly with the Fund Accounting team to understand their data sources, processes, calculations, and audit requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Alteryx workflows to ensure data accuracy and the timely completion of audit-related tasks.
  • Develop and implement strategies for centralizing data, workflow documentation, and audit results related to Alteryx workflows.
  • Produce and maintain detailed documentation for all Alteryx workflows, including data lineage, processing logic, and validation steps.
  • Help gather, clean, and prepare data from various sources for use within Alteryx workflows.
  • Clearly communicate the status, findings, and potential issues of workflows to team members and management.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of Alteryx processes within the audit procedure.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Advanced proficiency in Alteryx Designer, including creating complex data preparation, blending, and analytical workflows. Alteryx Designer Core or Advanced certification required.
  • Proven experience using Alteryx for data manipulation, ETL processes, automation, and reconciliation tasks.
  • Experience migrating Alteryx workflows to Microsoft Power BI/PowerApps.
  • Strong understanding of data management best practices and principles.
  • Experience working with various data sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and text files.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to translate business requirements-particularly those for audits and accounting-into effective Alteryx solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines, especially during critical audit periods.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with accountants and external auditors.
  • Capable of working independently and taking ownership of Alteryx-related tasks.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience within the financial services sector, especially asset management, private equity, or fund accounting. A good understanding of fund accounting principles and audits.
  • Familiarity with SQL querying and data visualization tools.
