The Alumni Relations Associate supports efforts to strengthen relationships between LWHS and its alumni community. The Alumni Relations Associate collaborates with the Advancement Team to support fundraising initiatives and alumni outreach, contributing to the overall goals of the department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Alumni Engagement Support
- Assist in the planning and coordination of alumni programs and engagement activities, including reunions and regional events
- Coordinate alumni communications such as newsletters, social media content, and event invitations
- Work closely with the Executive Director of Advancement and the Director of Communications to develop content for the Annual Report, Alumni magazine, and other LWHS publications
- Provide logistical and administrative support for alumni volunteer programs and Alumni Board meetings
- Support content development for newsletters, digital campaigns, alumni website, and other alumni communications
- Monitor alumni inbox and respond to alumni inquiries, redirecting as needed
- Work with the Database Manager to ensure alumni contact and giving records are accurate and up to date
- Track participation in events and programs to support engagement metrics and reporting
- Help prepare alumni lists and reports as requested by Advancement staff
- Conduct research on alumni and potential donors to identify philanthropic capacity, engagement history, and giving interests.
- Prepare research profiles and briefing materials for Advancement staff and leadership.
- Monitor news and updates about prominent alumni and potential major donors.
- Provide logistical and on-site support for alumni events and reunions, including setup, registration, and follow-up
- Assist in creating event materials, managing RSVPs, and coordinating with vendors or facilities staff as needed
- Collaborate with Advancement staff to ensure smooth execution of fundraising appeals and stewardship activities
- Assist with alumni gift acknowledgments and mailings
- Support other Advancement initiatives and events as needed

- Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated experience managing events
- Experience in creating solicitation messaging
- Strong self-motivation
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and relate well to all members of the community while maintaining appropriate confidentiality
- A bachelor's degree and at least 5-7 years similar experience
- Computer skills sufficient to fulfill job responsibilities; experience with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge software, Google Drive, and various social media platforms preferred
- Some evening/weekend work required
