Summary
King County Metro Transit seeks a Project/Program Manager II - ATU (Amalgamated Transit Union) Note Taker to provide critical temporary support during the Metro and ATU collective bargaining process. The Project/Program Manager II - ATU Note Taker will record notes that will be considered a critical part of the official documents of collective bargaining and will be used as the basis for determining intent of collective bargaining agreement (CBA) language and will be subject to Public Disclosure Requests. Additionally, you will assist in managing discussions at the bargaining table through database maintenance of all versions of tentative agreements, including preparing the redline version of the collective bargaining agreement which will be used for ATU members' ratification vote and subsequent submittal to Council.
The ideal candidate for this position will have acute attention to detail, significant experience providing administrative and project management support to both labor organizations and Metro management. This position reports to and works collaboratively with the Senior Labor Relations Negotiator.
***This Term Limited Temporary / Special Duty Assignment is open to all King County employees only and is scheduled to last one year, but may end earlier if the project is completed***

This Term Limited Temporary / Special Duty Assignment position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is therefore eligible for overtime pay, which may be required. Work schedule is normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Variations may be required depending on the demands and needs of the work.

Job Duties
- Provide joint note-taking support for ATU and Metro during all bargaining sessions.
- Take accurate notes that must be acceptable to both ATU and Metro bargaining team members.
- Serve as project manager for the Metro bargaining team.
- Create and maintain a database of all versions of bargaining proposals and tentative agreements (TAs) in order to assist in managing discussions at the bargaining table.
- Ensure all TAs are included in the final CBA.
- Prepare the final redline version of the CBA from bargaining notes and database records.
- Coordinate Metro bargaining team's planning and preparation meetings, including document/presentation preparation.
- Coordinate and assist in preparation for Metro proposals.
- Coordinate and consult with Metro stakeholders as needed.
- Perform all project management support to the Office of Labor Relations (OLR) lead negotiator and Metro negotiations lead as a neutral party.
