Description:
This position requires the technician to float to various clinical locations.
The role involves performing a variety of noninvasive diagnostic tests to detect vascular disease.
The technician will report findings of exams to medical staff.
Responsibilities include conducting all vascular testing independently including reflux studies and visceral examinations.
Patient assessment and providing basic patient care while testing is required.
The technician must perform vascular testing at various on-site locations.
Transportation, loading, and unloading of equipment are part of the role.
Accurate and reproducible data collection is essential.
Findings should be reported to physicians and hospital staff in a timely manner.
Documentation of tests, including billing codes for hospital and laboratory records, is required.
The role includes the care of PVR and imaging equipment and ensuring cleanliness.
Providing a safe and positive experience for patients is necessary.
There may be occasional backup coverage required on weekends, holidays, and on-call to cover inpatients.
Maintaining competent high-quality imaging skills while adhering to standards and protocols is necessary.
The technician should demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while respecting workforce diversity.
Tasks include coordination of resources with patient demands and setting work priorities.
Analyzing ultrasound and plethysmographic data and reporting findings is essential.
The technician may assist in training new staff.
Effective communication skills are required to interact cooperatively with patients and colleagues.
Physical demands include standing, walking, and occasionally moving patients or heavy equipment.
Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to focus.
