In this role, you will play a key part in evaluating new AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) solutions and technologies to enhance our product portfolio. You'll also establish guidelines, standards, and best practices for the effective use of our automation solutions. As a leader, you'll manage a team of both local and remote members, fostering collaboration and innovation. This position requires travel to support projects and team members as needed.

In this role, you will play a key part in evaluating new AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) solutions and technologies to enhance our product portfolio. Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead team members for the commissioning & integration of AMR systems at client facilities
- Oversee detailed solutions design of AMR systems using Ramp products to meet the customer requirements with the Ramp appliance and a software solution tailored to the customer logistics requirements.
- Train and guide ASI team members
- Review acceptance test plans for validation of system functionality and performance.
- Optimize project and team performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
- Communicate project status and technical details to the management team.
- Generate multiple project schedule and support plans for projects varying in size from a single AMR to 50+
- Ensure ASI team members stay current with relevant training and certifications
- Troubleshooting software & hardware technical issues with internal and external teams
- Ability to travel for business within North America.
Additional responsibilities:
- Produce new product requirements based on the lessons learned from design and commissioning
- Work with the engineering teams to design and develop new solutions
- Ensure that all activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with Samuel business practices
- Ensure adherence to both internal and customer site health and safety rules and procedures
Qualifications:
- Strong people skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
- Strong leadership skills including training, coaching and mentoring
- 7+ years of experience commissioning & integrating industrial automated equipment or software that interfaces to the equipment
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 2 weeks.
- Valid passport and driver's license.
Education:
- College/University diploma or degree in an engineering, design, or industrial controls or related discipline
Experience:
- Experience leading project teams through customer installation and commissioning
- Experience working directly with clients/end-users
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems/subsystems
- Interpretation & analysis of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- PLC design and integration experience including experience with various Controls platforms (i.e. Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron etc.)
- Self-motivated and organized with attention to detail
- Experience with AMR/AGV systems integration
- Training users of automated equipment/software
