Benefits to you
  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $34.24 - $53.11. [OR The annual salary for this position is $71,208 - $110,472.]

Position Highlights

The Douglas County Circuit Court in Roseburg, Oregon, is hiring an Analyst 2.

In this role...

You will conduct complex research, statistical review, and policy and program evaluation, with the goal of maximizing efficiency and ensuring the court's compliance with standards, policies, and rules. You will develop and implement projects and activities to support court operations, monitor and track data, recommend improvements, and review and track proposed legislation that could impact our court's programs and administrative system. In completing your work, you will advise our judges and court administrators and will work directly with our operations, judicial support, and program teams. You will also help managers conduct confidential internal administrative investigations as needed.

As a subject matter expert on established local, regional, and statewide court processes, administrative systems, and projects, you will create training materials, conduct formal and informal training sessions, and collaborate with others to explain court policies and procedures. You will also facilitate the exchange of information related to court processes, procedures, and related forms with court staff. Part of your time will be spent creating and updating court forms and templates and automating forms within the court's case management system (Odyssey).

Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree in business, court administration, public administration, or a related field.
AND
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible professional-level experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

OR

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to six (6) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Note: Professional-level experience is defined as:
  • The ability to use independent judgment and discretion in performing work duties.
  • A level of specialized knowledge in the field of work with some authority for independent decision-making.
  • In-depth work requirements, such as data gathering, analysis and interpretation.
  • Interaction with a broad range of individuals.
  • Individual accountability for results.

  • Experience analyzing existing and proposed policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Experience writing various reports, policies, procedures, and other documents that provide analyses and recommendations.

  • Experience designing and providing training for adult learners.

Working Conditions
  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is currently 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.
  • Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
  • Occasional travel to attend meetings and training sessions may be required.
  • This position may be required to conduct presentations in front of groups of varying sizes.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances, highly stressful situations, or trauma.
  • Long periods of sitting or standing.
  • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
