Summary of Position:

The Measurement Analyst II will have primary responsibility for operation and maintenance of Asset Gas and liquid Measurement equipment for the assigned region.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Leads, develops, and implements processes and procedures for measurement data quality control
  • Reviews and approves gas data validity before release for financial use
  • Develops, reviews, and approves gas lost and unaccounted balances
  • Integrates gas and liquid measurement data into measurement software systems
  • Provides guidance and approval of measurement adjustments of custody transfer data
  • Maintains expert level knowledge of gas and liquid measurement processes, practices, standards, and regulations
  • Identifies and reconciles measurement discrepancies between Third party purchasers and Civitas
  • Provides guidance to field measurement personnel to insure contract, industry standard, and regulatory compliance
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
  • Monitor and report major changes in daily volumes in accordance with measurement/ management guidelines.
  • Periodically check gas throughput at key CDP points to determine correctness of production volumes at field locations
  • Analyze and validate CFX and FMS files to ensure accurate measurement data capture from field devices; identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with operations and field personnel.
  • Manage the transfer and integration of measurement data from field systems to enterprise platforms, ensuring data integrity, timeliness, and alignment with regulatory and internal reporting standards.
  • Assist with reports on measurement changes and adjustments

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Knowledge of gas and liquid measurement data flow processes including prior and current versions of American Gas Association (AGA) flow equations, American Petroleum Institute (API) and Gas Processors Association (GPA) standards along with Electronic Flow Meter (EFM) installation, setup, calibration, and meter setting/design standards
  • Strong working knowledge of FlowCal and TESTit software products
  • Strong understanding of gas and liquid measurement devices, i.e., orifice, turbine, PD, Coriolis, thermal mass, and ultrasonic meters along with electronic flow recording meters
  • Knowledge in gas chromatography theory and equipment applications
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • A minimum of 3 years' related experience in oil and gas is required

Travel & Additional Requirements:
  • Work Location: Work is performed at both field and office locations.
  • Schedule: Traditional 40-hour workweek or an alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and 4-hour workdays on Friday, as business needs allow and with manager approval.
  • Travel required to the Civitas field locations.

Base Pay Range: $77,140 - $88,400
