REPORTS TO:SABG Program Manager

FLSA STATUS:Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Intermediate Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Dahlgren, VA. The Intermediate Analyst will support the Agency with day-to-day operations and provide direct support to the MDA Secretary of the General Staff (SGS) office. Telework is allowable as determined by the government supervisor and scheduling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Assist MDA executives and Correspondence Management Office (CMO) with strategic planning activities to deliver a high level of organizational support and operations integration, handling several complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Review strategic communications staff packages for Front Office approval; which includes providing document and presentation creation and editing support; drafting executive and congressional correspondence for review; creating professional and accurate Staff Summary Sheets.
  • Prepare and manage staff packages and correspondence for approval and signature using Agency's Enterprise Task Management Support System (ETMS2).
  • Possess an elevated understanding and experience in Missile Defense System (MDS) to develop and refine PowerPoint presentations, documents and Talking Points for General/Flag Officers and SES level customers.
  • Assist with Calendar Synchronization and Integration.
  • Create and edit the Weekly and Monthly Reports for a large, complex organization, to be used by the senior staff.
  • Work as a member of a team to assist with solving routine problems.
  • Administrative management and manager skills preferred.

SUPERVISION:This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Capable of providing expertise in Strategic Planning, Programmatic and Communication techniques and processes to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of team and assists with solving complex problems. Mid-level working knowledge, skills and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree and seven years relevant experience required. An AA/AS with nine years of relevant experience maybe substituted for the BA/BS.
  • Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Possess exceptionally strong writing skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
