*Must have Department of Defense (DoD) Finance experience*
As a Financial Planner on our team, youll support Joint Force Development by providing expertise in highly specialized financial, programmatic, and business analysis environments to support senior management business decisions. You will apply specific functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, data entry, analysis of data, and knowledge of program management and finance. You'll participate in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of policy and processes related to DoD Training initiatives. You will plan, coordinate, and support meetings and planning events involving worldwide participants to improve the use of joint training resources. You'll contribute to the resolution of complex programmatic and financial problems using analytic judgment and proven analytic practices. You will work independently with some guidance and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines. You Have: Experience with support to military headquarters in Program Financial Management
Experience with financial execution of a spend plan within a Department of Defense organization, including analysis of obligation plans vs. obligations
Experience with monthly financial reporting
Experience with financial programming for Operations and Maintenance and Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation funding
Experience with business and accounting processes and policy
Knowledge of Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Financial Database
Knowledge of analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve program effectiveness and productivity
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, O365, and Microsoft Excel
Secret clearance
Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience with financial execution, or 7+ years of experience with financial execution in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: Experience creating complex spreadsheets
Knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to joint training programs and related resources
Ability to research payments in government systems
Ability to interpret the intent of a clients needs effectively and help to shape and form the solution by leveraging team capabilities
Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project timelines and continual client delivery
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
