Skill: Senior Quality Assurance Consultant

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on large-scale financial and data transformation programs.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and processes with ERP system (General ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.).
  • Proven experience in defining and implementing test strategies for large-scale, multi-year financial transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end testing for complex data transformation programs, including defining toll gates and making critical go/no-go decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams (offshore and onsite) and stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and executing automation test strategies for data transformation initiatives, with hands-on experience using tools like QuerySurge and Microsoft Playwright.
  • Strong understanding of ETL testing methodologies and data migration projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance and finance domain.
  • Experience with data migration, SQL, medallion architecture, and data validation techniques.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in developing and executing automation test cases using tools like QuerySurge and Microsoft Playwright.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for defect management, sprint backlog maintenance, and test case management.
  • ETL Tester experience in data migration projects.
  • Experience in Property and Casualty Insurance (P&C).


Responsibilities:

Strategic Test Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy for a large-scale financial transformation program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project timelines.
  • Define and execute an automation test strategy for data transformation initiatives, leveraging tools such as QuerySurge and Microsoft Playwright.
  • Establish clear test phases, toll gates, and go/no-go criteria to manage end-to-end testing for data transformation programs.


Test Planning & Execution:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test plans, test strategy documents, test evaluation reports, and accurate effort estimations.
  • Manage and oversee the execution of system integration testing (SIT), functional testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production support.
  • Lead data verification across multiple stages of the ETL process, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all testing-related activities, maintaining clear and consistent communication with business SMEs, scrum masters, development teams, and senior leadership.
  • Provide regular status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and ensure alignment among all stakeholders.


Quality Assurance & Risk Management:

  • Establish and enforce quality standards to ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Identify and proactively address potential risks, developing and implementing ef fective mitigation plans.
  • Make go/no-go decisions based off test results and the toll gate criteria.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
