O'Connor Hospital - O'Connor Hospital (OCH) is a 358 licensed bed acute care facility offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and specialty programs to residents of Santa Clara County. It was founded in 1889 as one of the first hospitals in the county. OCH has grown significantly over the past five years in both its inpatient volume and its Emergency Department visits. Along with these volume increases other ancillary and clinical departments like imaging, lab, pharmacy, and respiratory have seen growth as well.
St. Louise Regional Hospital - Since 1989, St. Louise Regional Hospital (SLRH) has been caring for the residents in Santa Clara and San Benito Counties, offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical specialties. SLRH has 93 beds, is a Designated Primary Stroke Center, and is the only acute care hospital in the area. Located in Gilroy, SLRH maintains a CALSTAR 2 emergency helicopter base on the premises.

Typical Tasks
Under direction of an Anesthesiologist:
- Sets up, calibrates, operates, troubleshoots, provides general maintenance and ensures the cleaning of: pulse monitors, dopplers, gas analyzers, respirators, cardiac output monitors, alarm systems, blood gas analyzers, nerve stimulators, EKG monitors, anesthesia machines, automatic blood pressure machines, and other equipment as appropriate;
- Assists in the correct and safe positioning of the patient for the operating procedure to be performed;
- Helps the physician during induction of anesthesia as directed;
- Assists with ventilatory support in transporting patients;
- Maintains and orders stock of disposable and non-disposable items of anesthesia and equipment, including contact with vendors;
- Acts as liaison with manufacturer's representatives for sales, preventative maintenance, and repair of anesthesia equipment;
- Orders supplies, sets up and stocks anesthesia related supplies in the Operating Room and on carts;
- Adjusts calibration of transcutaneous oxygen monitors;
- Prepares and attaches heated humidifiers to the anesthesia machine;
- Sets up and assists in placement of Swanz Ganz lines which measure the pulmonary artery pressure of the patient;
- Draws blood from central venous pressure or arterial lines for laboratory testing; and
- Performs other duties as required.

- Exercise good manual dexterity and mechanical ability.
