Description:
Interventional Vascular Radiology is looking for an Angiography RN to join their team! This is a full time 40-hour work week. Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday.
**This position is eligible for up to a $3,000.00 recruitment/retention bonus**
Responsibilities:
Prepare charts for procedures
Pre-procedure interviews and instructions
Intra-procedural nursing care including administration of moderate sedation
Pre-procedure and post-procedure nursing care for patients recovering from moderate sedation
Specimen collection
Room patients including vital signs
Prepare biopsy procedures including setting sterile tray
Maintain pathology records for Quad certification
Communicate schedule needs with Interventional & Endoscopy Suite
Maintain and order laboratory supplies
Medication reconstitution for procedures
The nurse assists the physicians performing the procedure while monitoring the patient's conscious sedation status to increase safety and prevent discomfort.
The nurse also helps to maintain the specialized equipment of the unit.
Coordinates activities with the technologist and physician to ensure safe patient care during procedures as well as provides patient care in pre-procedural and post-procedural care areas.

Annual salary range: $45.00-$48.00

Current NYS license as an RN.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. Angiography experience preferred.
Experience in pre, intra, and post procedure care areas.
