APP Program Coordinator for Behavioral Health
Juve Behavioral Health Pavillion, Akron, OH
Full-Time / 40 Hours
Summary:
Collaborates with the Medical Director to provide support and direction to all staff within the Program Department in efforts to ensure timely and quality care of all patients cared for within the specialty program and that program outcomes are achieved. Develops and advances the quality of advanced practice through specialized direct patient care, leadership, consultation, education and research. Works to improve processes of care for patients. Ensures quality of patient care by utilizing established standards of care for specified department and coordination of services with physicians, care managers, social workers, patient care coordinators, therapists and other community agencies as appropriate. Maintains clinical competency through a clinical caseload
1. Formal Education Required:
a. Master's Degree in Nursing with completion of Advanced Practice program in area of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and National certification as CNP or CNS.
2. Experience & Training Required:
a. Current license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
b. Minimum one year experience as advanced practice provider preferred
c. BLS certification
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Demonstrated leadership skills.
b. Excellent skills in communication, organizing, self-motivation, accuracy, and time management.
c. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
d. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
e. Demonstrates flexibility to meet the ever changing needs of patients, health care team members and program.
f. Ability to provide necessary care of adult patients as required by position and requested by institution.
g. Ability to work independently, to prioritize work and solve problems.
h. Demonstrates competency in Microsoft office and all computer programs utilized by the Practice.
i. Ability to manage multiple projects.
j. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
k. Maintains affiliated hospital privileges as an Allied Health Professional if practicing in hospital setting.
l. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
4. Level of Physical Demands:
a. Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
b. Requires exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other potentially hazardous conditions common to a clinical environment, such as risk of falls, strains. Etc.
c. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

- Monday through Friday; normal business hours - no call/ weekends/ holidays
- 100% Inpatient Focus
- About 80% Administrative, 20% Clinical
