We are seeking a skilled Appian Developer who enjoys creating efficient business process management (BPM) applications using the Appian platform. Our ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging Appian's capabilities to transform business processes and improve operational efficiency. This position is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, and is based in McLean, VA.

Your Impact:
- Support internal customers by analyzing, designing, and developing BPM applications using the Appian platform.
- Understand User Stories, participate in analysis, design applications based on System User Stories and Architecture, prototype if necessary, develop, unit test, and deploy the application.
- Build purpose-built solutions using Appian's low-code development environment.
- Support what you build, including providing fixes to production defects. Quickly evaluate defects, investigate causes, and develop solutions to remediate.
- Support building best practices within the team for Appian development.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate Appian applications with other enterprise systems.
Qualifications:
- Master/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
- 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience in Appian development.
- Appian Level 1 certified (Level 2 preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in the design and development of BPM applications using the Appian platform.
- Experience with Appian SAIL, Tempo, Records, Reports, and Sites.
- Strong understanding of BPM principles and methodologies.
- Experience with integrations using Web Services (SOAP/REST), Appian Integration objects, and integration middleware.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience in code delivery pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
- Good understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
