Application Developer - Exempt

Job Description:

• This request is to hire an experienced developer to join the App Engine Core Engineering Team that is responsible for building, managing, and maintaining the PaaS services for the firm's de facto on-prem and Cloud container platform.
• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes to join our dynamic and innovative technology team.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system engineering, with a focus on containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters to support our mission-critical applications and services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters using best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of Kubernetes clusters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Implement and maintain security and compliance policies for Kubernetes clusters.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in Kubernetes and containerization technologies.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 3-5+ years of experience with Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure
• Design/deployment
• Troubleshooting

Required Education/Certification(s):

• Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Red Hat OpenShift

Additional Information:

• Duration: 12-month contract to hire opportunity
• Hybrid Work Model: Three days onsite required weekly in Jersey City or NYC office
• Rate Range: $70-80/hr. W2 (based on experience)
