Daily Responsibilities:
- Project name/Description: Structured Derivatives Production Support
- supporting applications & infrastructure, working with business users, change management, incident & problem management, audit and compliance reviews, EOD batch monitoring, tasks automation, BCP testing, infrastructure planning and implementation
- Ensure highest quality of support for Fixed Income Clients and Derivatives applications for Trading and Risk management systems
- Work with Global business users to FICC Derivative applications. Primary Support for Structured Derivatives applications
- Applicant will support critical FO applications which has 24x6 uptime
- Liaise with internal development teams and external vendors to resolve support issues of Fixed Income Derivative applications
- Ensure logging of support incidents, hold Problem Review Meetings (PRMs) and track action items to closure.
- Implement adaptation of tools to reduce manual burden on support/business teams and constantly looking for automation
- Provide regular updates and status to all stakeholders on open issues.
- Pro-actively prepare for planned maintenance over weekends, DR exercise and all major roll-outs
- Provide subject matter experience and guidance to team members.
- Candidate would be working with Senior Management, Front office business users, Traders, Quants, Risk Managers, Product Control etc. groups located in various geographic locations. Candidate would be proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business, Review and comply with firm policies applicable to business activities.
- Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line Manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.
Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
- 5+ years of experience in IT. Good knowledge of Capital Markets including Fixed Income Products((Derivatives /Structured Products)
- Knowledge of Shell/Perl/Python Scripting, Sybase/SQL Server, SQL Queries, Database Performance Tuning is required
- Good Knowledge of Job scheduler/monitoring tools (Control M, Geneos)
- Knowledge of UNIX environment
- Knowledge of Cloud Technology or Grid Environment
- Shift work and some work over weekends are required.
Nice-to-have Skills/Experience and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
- Role involves regular escalation and coordination activities over evenings and weekends
- Working knowledge in Elastic Search, Release Management Tools(Ansible, Jenkins)
- Experience in DevOps and cloud technology(AWS, GCP)
- Understanding of ITIL processes.
