Summary:

This role combines data analysis, ERP system administration, and database management. The responsibilities include analyzing complex data from systems like ERP and Salesforce, performing ETL functions, creating reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel, and presenting findings to stakeholders. The role also involves administering critical business systems such as Sage100 and Salesforce, including user management, software upgrades, and troubleshooting. Additionally, the position requires maintaining MS SQL Servers, automating database tasks, ensuring disaster recovery, and creating queries and reports to optimize database performance. Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills are essential. This is an in office position in our corporate office located in Kent WA reporting to Director, Strategic IT.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Visualization
  • Analyzes complex and varied data sets from core business systems including ERP, Salesforce/CRM, and other SQL databases.
  • Performs ETL functions between different databases and data sources
  • Combines disparate data sets from different source systems, normalize the data, and publish data models and documentation.
  • Creates reports, dashboards, and data visualization using tools like Power BI, SSRS, and Crystal Reports.
  • Perform advanced Excel analysis including accessing ODBC data sources, power query/power pivot, and vlookup.
    • Build reporting tools and communication materials from analysis (PowerPoint, written reports, Power BI visualizations, Excel, etc.) that are easily understood for a broad range of stakeholders. Collaborate with stakeholders to make sure results are communicated accurately.


ERP Application Administrator
  • Perform System Administration of critical business systems Sage100, Salesforce, Truck Management systems, OPIS Pricing systems. System Administration includes user management, evaluating/coordinating software upgrades, and managing disaster recovery procedures related to these systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to finance and business processes in the ERP and other key systems.


Database Administrator
  • Install and maintain MS SQL Servers using SQL Server Management Studio
  • Create and maintain database backup, maintenance, and disaster recovery plans
    • Create automation for repeating database tasks
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance related issues
  • Create tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and report queries related to database administration


Education, Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of experience performing a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SQL queries, views, and tables.
  • Experience supporting an ERP, accounting, or G/L systems.
  • Experience creating PowerBI visualizations and knowledge of connecting to external datasets.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and server administration best practices.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce data tools including Reports & dashboards, SOQL, Workbench, and Data Loader is a plus.
