Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Tampa, FL location.
Duties: Design and develop computer and network solutions to address application problems, system administration issues and network concerns. Involved in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production. Monitor production servers using remote access and running SQL queries. Perform scripting using Batch and Powershell. Use File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), IBM, MQ Series and IBM Connect Direct (NDM). Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Collaborate to develop specifications and performance requirements to integrate hardware and software systems. Use Autosys, ServiceNow and ITRS for automation tasks. Perform systems management and integration functions for IT production and database performance. Analyze query plans, tune queries for performance, and verify proper index is created. Extract and build new queries to retrieve records from database to generate new user requested reports or debug production issues. Review and develop application contingency plan to ensure stable application production and contingency environment without interruption of critical client services. Test changes in lower environments. Obtain approvals to deploy changes with planned and controlled outcomes. Perform release management, document change, gather change details, package, and deploy in development and user acceptance testing environments. Collaborate with development and production support to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. Develop and maintain technical support documentation and identify ways to maximize potential of applications. Assess risk and impact of production issues and timely escalate to management. Resolve application issues to support business processes stability. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as Consultant, IT Analyst, Programmer Analyst or related position involving applications support in Windows Server architecture for the financial services industry. 5 years of experience must include: Windows and Microsoft SQL/T-SQL; ServiceNow and ITRS; Scripting (Batch and Powershell); File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and IBM Connect Direct (NDM); IT production support; Release management; Database performance analysis; IT service management; Application management; Autosys.
