Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and highly motivated APRN to join our dynamic urology team. This APRN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of urological conditions. You will work closely with our urologist and other healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of urological issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with urological concerns
  • Provide diagnosis, treatment plans, and management for patients with urological disorders (e.g., urinary tract infections, kidney stones, incontinence, prostate issues, etc.)
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as catheter insertions, bladder scans, and other urological assessments as required
  • Educate patients about urological health, preventive care, and treatment options
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, including managing prescriptions and adjusting dosages as necessary
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Participate in patient care rounds and assist in the management of hospital admissions, when applicable
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up appointments
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the department

Requirements

  • Active RN licensure in Connecticut
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification in Connecticut.
  • Previous experience in urology or a related healthcare field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to independently manage patient care
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care


Salary Description

115,000-120,000
