Summary
Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to float between our Volusia County facilities. This position is 40 hours weekly, with flexible scheduling based on need. Either 5-8-hour days or 4-10-hour days, or 3-12-hour days and 1-4-hour day. There will be a mix of primary care and urgent care.
Qualifications
Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant Florida licensure
Minimum 3 years' post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination.
Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program
Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.)
Foreign body removal
Laceration repair, Suturing skills
Abscess I & D
Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures
DOT Certification required within 30 days
Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter's physicals, etc.) preferred
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (good typing & computer skills)
Worker's Comp experience preferred
Great Customer Service and Communication skills with patients and their primary care physicians
