POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of a Psychiatrist and Program Manager, this advanced professional position provides treatment services intended to assist persons with mental illness by prescribing psychotropic medication to stabilize their condition. The ARNP will be treating patients within the Children and Adult Outpatient Services.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Under the supervision of a Psychiatrist and Program Manager, this advanced professional position provides treatment services intended to assist persons with mental illness by prescribing psychotropic medication to stabilize their condition. The ARNP will be treating patients within the Children and Adult Outpatient Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters of Psychiatric Nursing with current Florida ARNP license.
- Bilingual required (Spanish/English) preferred to assist a diverse population
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, consumers, employees, and the general public.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office, health care setting. Most work is completed while seated at a desk using standard office equipment.
- Fast-paced, team approach. Multi-tasking requires above-average time management skills.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Performs diagnostic evaluations of patients with mental health disorders.
- Responsible for conduction of medication clinics, monitoring and altering drug therapies, and initiation and continuation of appropriate therapies according to established protocol and consistent with the practice setting.
- Completes required documentation of clinical services provided and maintains up to date clinical records. Uses the electronic medical record and electronic prescribing system required by the agency.
- Coordinates the delivery of clinical treatment services with other clinicians and support services staff. Provides consultations and referrals to other clinical staff, outside providers and other agencies.
- Review and approve all treatment plans; perform peer reviews when requested to do so.
- Continue professional development through in-service education, workshops, conferences, and self-study necessary to maintain current knowledge applicable to the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the medical director.
