Job Description

The Associate Director of Health Care standards will be responsible for managing the Ambulatory Financial Clearance Staff for Jacobi on a daily basis. The role entails various job responsibilities such as prioritizing and reviewing assigned cases, collaborating with Surgical Sub Specialties (Coordinators, Providers, Admin) when cases require peer to peer review or denied by insurance payor, and monitoring the Revenue Cycle by keeping track of weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics. Additionally they will supervise work queues assigned to Financial Clearance Surgery Staff, conduct monthly review of eligibility/NO auth denials for scheduled surgeries and participate in weekly department and central office meetings

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Health Administration, Public Administration or approved related program; and,
2. Six years of full-time, paid experience of progressively responsible level in hospital administration with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of health care delivery services; or,
3. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital or Health Administration, Health Care Planning, Public Health, Administrative Medicine, Business Administration, Public Administration or approved related program; and,
4. Five years of full-time, paid experience as indicated in(2);or,
5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Department Preferences

Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes including revenue codes, ICD 10, charge capture, supply reconciliation, medical chart review and operating room workflow.

Knowledge of EPIC OpTime and Stork.
