Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supervisor of Assembly (Level 3) to lead a team responsible for assembling components, subassemblies, and completed units in support of aerospace manufacturing operations. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure quality standards are met, and drive operational efficiency while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Supervise and coordinate a team of assembly technicians, overseeing hiring, training, performance assessments, and work assignments.
Production Oversight: Ensure assembly operations adhere to quality, schedule, and cost objectives, supporting on-time delivery of products.
Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, implementing improvements to enhance productivity.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Address technical and operational challenges, leveraging root cause analysis to drive effective solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize assembly processes and meet production goals.

Basic Qualifications
Experience in Aircraft Maintenance, Aerospace Manufacturing, Automotive, Space, or Transportation industries.
Background in Production Operations or Manufacturing.
Experience Leading
Desired skills
Background of 5yrs experience needed for this position.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Minimum of 5yrs experience working within manufacturing environment.
Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills a must.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $62,200 - $109,595. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
