As Asset Manager at Drax, you will be in charge of the development and deployment of policies and procedures that include maintenance planning, maintenance system (CMMS), outage support, mechanical integrity, Critical Spare Inventory, central warehouse management, vendor quality assurance program, asset management best practices, lifecycle management and reliability program that supports best in class asset performance.
KeyResponsibilities:As Asset Manager - your main responsibilities willinclude, but not be limited to:
- Support and implement the Drax safety culture and policies to implement remedies for a "no Loss" safety culture during the construction and commissioning phases
- Develop a Maintenance Program that drives performance excellence
- Manage the Asset Management Team to ensure Key Performance Metrics are met
- Work closely with maintenance departments at all sites to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing costs
- Analyze key maintenance department areas of improvement to develop and implement a structured and sustainable maintenance improvement plan to support Drax's manufacturing operations
- Create, develop and implement a Regional Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Manage the Northern reliability efforts
- Design, implement, and manage a condition-based monitoring (predictive maintenance) program for all Drax Northern facilities
- Oversee the implementation of a Mechanical Integrity Program as well as a Vendor Quality Assurance Program to ensure highest vendor performance in fabrication shops and on-site installation jobs
- Ability to identify best practices within the industry and a proven ability to apply across multi-site/account scope
- Build and maintain relationships with Drax senior management to maintain a high level of feedback and recommendations
Provide the following Outage Support:
- Ensure the Asset Management Team coordinates with plant teams, reliability engineers, mechanical integrity, and engineering to develop job scopes for outage jobs and develop priorities for all work
- Communicate outage planning progress to plant teams using the Outage Planning Template
- Ensure the AM Team develops a Microsoft Project schedule detailing outage plant and Capex activities. This includes pre-work, lock-out plan, outage work, and outage completion. Outage jobs should be segregated by area. The schedule should detail the person(s) or contractor assigned to complete the jobs, the work order number and description for the jobs, the duration of the jobs, the area of the plant for the jobs, hot work/confined space permit needs, motor determinations for rotation checks, Purchase Order detail, job leads, lockout locations, job costs, and job progress. The outage costs should be segregated into Internal Labour, OpEx External Labour, and Capex costs. This will ensure accurate cost tracking during each stage of the outage. This will be developed using the Outage Project template.
- Supervise outage update meetings with contractors and internal teams to update outage progress ensuring the Microsoft Project accurately reflects outage progression and identifies any potential impacts to scheduled completion. Communicate issues brought to their attention during these meetings to plant and senior management.
About youYou'll possess the following skills, abilities, and experience:
- A post-secondary education in an engineering or technical discipline is preferred.
- You should be a proven leader, with the ability to engage, coach, lead, and drive performance across your group and other support groups through indirect influence.
- You must have a strong safety mindset, with a focus on results.
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance manager or in a similar position is required.
- Strong experience using CMMS programs is essential.
- A track record of successfully implementing Reliability Centered Maintenance Programs is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills are critical, and you must be able to work with minimal direction.
