Asset Manager

Position Summary

Ambipar Response is hiring an Asset Manager to manage the company's physical and logistical assets, ensuring they are effectively tracked, maintained, and deployed during emergency response activities. This ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, strategic thinker who can ensure the readiness and availability of critical resources while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Essential Job Functions
  • Oversees the accurate tracking and management of all emergency response assets, including vehicles, equipment, supplies, and technology
  • Maintains accurate records of asset inventory, maintenance schedules, usage logs, and procurement activities to ensure quick accessibility when needed
  • Implements asset maintenance schedules and tracks any repairs or upgrades to ensure assets are operational at all times
  • Coordinates with logistics team to plan and execute the transportation of assets during emergencies, ensuring timely availability of resources at the right locations
  • Works closely with field teams to prioritize asset allocation based on operational needs
  • Manages procurement processes for new assets and replacements, ensuring that high-quality, cost-effective resources are available
  • Works with external suppliers and vendors to source necessary assets and materials, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining strong vendor relationships
  • Assists in managing budgets for asset procurement, maintenance, and logistics
  • Tracks and reports asset related expenses, and identifies opportunities for cost optimization without compromising operational efficiency
  • Performs regular inspections and audits to ensure assets meet industry standards, and best practices related to asset management
  • Identifies risks related to asset availability or failure during emergency operations, and develops strategies to mitigate potential disruptions
  • Ensures contingency plans are in place for asset shortages or critical failures
  • Provides training and guidance to emergency response teams on the proper use, maintenance, and handling of assets
  • Ensures that staff are aware of asset protocols and emergency procedures during emergency deployments
  • Tracks asset usage during emergency response efforts and provides insights on asset utilization for future planning and budgeting
  • Prepares regular reports on asset status, usage, and maintenance
  • Provides insights and recommendations to senior leadership on asset optimization to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, logistics, or operations ideally within disaster recovery, emergency response, or similar industries
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, logistics, and emergency response operations
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in asset management software, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Microsoft Word, etc..)
  • Proven ability to manage complex logistics and asset deployment under high-pressure conditions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Job Requirements
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning, emergency management, or business continuity
  • Relevant certification (I.e. CAMA, CMAM, DAM, etc..)

Work Schedule

This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
