Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in accounting or closely related field preferred. Master's in accounting or closely related field required; applicant must earn doctorate within six years of hire. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Licensure preferred. Documented higher education teaching experience and documented research record are preferred. Preference given to applicants with demonstrated higher education teaching experience in accounting courses. Applicants should possess extensive knowledge in accounting, higher education teaching using a variety of technologies, and a documented record of higher education teaching performance in both face-to-face and online classes. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Publications and evidence of research capability are expected for all ranks.
Job Concepts
Teach 12 credit hours of accounting courses, maintain office hours, advise/counsel students, serve on various committees and assist in program development. Engage in scholarly activities including research and professional publication. Participate in professional service activities within the college, university, or above. Other duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Business.
