Job Title: Assistant Athletics Director
Reports to: Managing Director of Athletics Department
Dept/School: Central Administration Office
Work Year: 226 days
Base Salary: $88,500Actual salary will be calculated based on experience.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist with the direction and management of all Frisco ISD athletic programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Master's degree preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent public relations, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the overall operations of a comprehensive athletic program
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Knowledge of district, state, and UIL policies and regulations governing athletics
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of successful experience as a teacher, coach, administrator, or supervisor
Experience as a campus administrator, athletic director/coordinator preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assist campus principals in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of qualified athletic personnel.
Serve as the liaison between secondary campuses' administrative staff and the Athletic Department.
Coordinate all middle school athletic scheduling, staff UIL and RMA training, coordinators' meetings, and campus athletic budget management.
Coordinate scheduling of officials and game security.
Schedule athletic fields for all sports
Supervise and evaluate assigned Athletic Department personnel.
Serve as event and site manager or administrator on duty as assigned.
Coordinate all Athletic Department communication systems such as handbooks and website.
Serve as booster club liaison.
Serve as liaison with District partners.
Coordinate stadium concession stands.
Assist with organization of tournaments for all sports.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying. May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional districtwide travel. Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
