Job Summary
Are you a passionate nursing professional ready to take the next step in leadership? At The Neighbors of Dunn County, we're looking for an Assistant Clinical Mentor to help shape the future of nursing care in our community-driven environment.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in enhancing nursing service standards, ensuring exceptional resident care, and supporting the growth and development of our dedicated nursing team. You'll work alongside staff to provide mentorship, oversee clinical practices, and help implement policies that prioritize resident well-being and nursing excellence.

As a key leader, you'll supervise and collaborate with Registered Nurses, LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, Homemakers/Hosts, and Unit Clerks to maintain a compassionate and high-quality care environment.

The anticipated starting wage is between $39.28 and $41.47 per hour ($81,702.40 - $86,257.60 annually).
Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Assists in planning, organizing and directing the effective administration of the nursing facility.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining nursing objectives and standards of resident care.
  • Coordinates activities during the state/federal survey process.
  • Assists in identifying and solving department and personnel issues.
  • Serves as a resource to other facility staff members and department heads.
  • Executes resident care policies in the absence of a physician.
  • Assists in assessing supply and equipment needs for the department.
  • Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining department budget.
  • Attends facility and County meetings, conferences, conventions and workshops.
  • Prepares and submits required reports and maintains statistics as required.
  • Interviews applicants; supervises and evaluates the performance of nursing personnel.
  • Performs the duties of Registered Nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other related field.
  • Requires a minimum of four (4) years previous long-term care or nursing experience.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Registered Nurse in State of Wisconsin
  • Director of Nursing Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • AANAC Certification
  • NHA License
  • Valid driver's license or the ability to travel between work locations.
  • Prior to hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS

  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of County and department policies, legal guides, recommendations, best practices, ordinances and laws.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medication and treatment administration records.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medication indications, use and side effects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diseases of the human body and the aging process.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships.
  • Ability to follow Dunn County policies and procedures including those pertaining to confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize job assignments.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, manage multiple projects, and complete work within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work the allocated hours of the position.

MINIMUM LANGUAGE SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS
In order to perform the duties of the Assistant Clinical Mentor position (listed above) the following language skills are essential for the Assistant Clinical Mentor to possess.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other staff members, supervisors, and the general public in written and verbal form.
  • English skills (oral, written and comprehension) sufficient to effectively communicate with all internal and external customers.

  • Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
