Job Summary and Qualifications
The main goals of the Assistant Controller are to prepare accurate and well-defined reporting and account analysis and to support the operations of the Gulf Coast Division Office in compliance with corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
What You Will Do In This Role:
Assist the Division Controller with reporting requirements within the Gulf Coast Division, including MOR preparation, facility analysis, etc. as needed.
Prepare monthly journal entries assigned in an accurate and timely manner and reconcile balance sheet accounts within the established deadlines.
Ensure that any manual corrections to clear reconciling items are done timely.
Maintain Fixed Asset System and capital schedules, which includes the reconciliation of Fixed Assets.
Prepare monthly allocation entries and intracompany billing to facilities within the Gulf Coast Division. Ensure that all intercompany and intracompany accounts balance to the general ledger as well as to the other sister facilities during month-end.
Assist with annual balance sheet and SOX reviews at each facility.
Assist with annual budgeting process for the Gulf Coast Division Office, as well as providing support to the facilities in the Gulf Coast Division as needed
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Experience - Minimum 3 years Healthcare experience, with experience as Assistant Controller or Controller preferred.
Education - B.S. Degree - Finance or Accounting.
Outside Relationships - Works closely with Division, Hospital and Corporate personnel.
