Job Profile Summary
CLEAResult is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the accounting function (including revenue accounting and general accounting) for this rapidly expanding company. In this leadership role, the Assistant Controller will oversee aspects of accounting management, assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies that comply with legislation and established best practice, and assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements. This individual is responsible for the management and development of the accounting team and ensuring that the team meets or exceeds their KPI's. As the company continues to grow, we are looking for someone to join our team with an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on continuous process improvement and creating efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively lead an accounting organization of 8 - 10 accountants
Hire, train and manage the daily activities of the staff in the accounting teams
Oversee the month-end close process including the review of journal entries and account reconciliations
Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, the inventory accounting process, and revenue recognition including contract review
Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
Responsible for performing technical research, working with team members to ensure compliance with GAAP, and documenting the Company's accounting policies
Design, implement, and maintain appropriate control procedures dealing with all aspects of accounting
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual external financial statements
Prepare monthly presentation on changes in balance sheet and kpis and lead presentation for internal stakeholders
Oversee the annual external audit process and coordinate with external auditors
Work in coordination with the Controller and other Finance leaders in driving process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
8+ years of accounting experience
5+ years of managerial experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Certified public accountant
Public accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Strong excel skills
Experience with M&A diligence and leading the accounting/finance integration of acquired companies
Motivated self-starter who is detailed, results- and process-oriented
Strong communicator that is comfortable participating in a cross functional, cross regional and collaborative team and effectively able to work with all levels of personnel
Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high performance standards
A superior problem solver with analytical skills and ability to work in a highly visible, deadline-oriented position and environment
Compensation Range
$131,900.00 - $197,800.00
