We are currently in search of an Assistant Director of Live Education for an International Medical Association. This position is hybrid, based in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time, permanent position.

SALARY RANGE: $105,000 - $110,000

Is This Your Dream Job? The Assistant Director of Live Education will report directly to the Executive Director of Education to develop and execute strategies to support the Education Department. This position will play a key role in contributing to the implementation of live education activities.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in a medical association of similar size (45,000 members) required
  • Experience working with education events for international audiences required
  • Experienced in live events; ability to anticipate and guide a team around potential issues required
  • Management experience with multiple direct reports required
  • Experience in creating SOPs and proven ability to grow a department required
  • Experience managing budgets/financial analysis of department required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred


How You Will Spend Your Day:
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support the expansion of Courses and identify global growth opportunities. Collaborate with volunteers and staff to select topics, locations, and target audiences.
  • Identifies business partners, develops business models, and explores new revenue streams as appropriate.
  • Research innovative course formats and monitor trends in healthcare delivery. Conducts needs assessments, evaluate current offerings, and integrate national CPD best practices to improve course quality.
  • Oversee global implementation of Courses, managing goals, budgets, execution, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Evaluate course outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead vendor selection and manages partnerships related to Courses. Coordinate closely with meetings and program services teams to ensure smooth course delivery.
  • Partner with the Director of Education to shape strategies for expanding educational offerings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to amplify the reach and impact of global live education programs.
  • Manage co-sponsorships with international organizations, supports leadership coordination, and contribute to speaker development, program planning, and promotional efforts.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for all live education activities.
