Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction project management or closely related field and four years of construction project management experience.
- Alternative combinations of training and experience to substitute for the degree requirement will be evaluated by the District for comparability.
- Ability to make effective presentations
- Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of the construction trades; including carpentry, plumbing, and painting, electrical and other trades
- Skill in effective decision-making
- Knowledge of codes, laws, regulations, rules and policies governing school facilities construction
- Knowledge of commercial/institutional construction
- Skill in application of current building codes and other safety codes
- Skill in budgeting, contract writing, fee negotiation and change orders
- Skill in conflict mediation and problem resolution
- Skill in construction scheduling
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of others
- Skill in managing construction projects
- Skill in site inspection
- Skill in supervising, selecting, monitoring, and evaluating contractors and consultants
- Skill in written and oral communication
- Professional licensing in related field highly desired.
- Required to be on-call during construction projects.
- Valid Washington State driver's license.
- Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
