Job Description

Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Sales (ADOS) is responsible for the generation of budgeted top-line revenue and RevPAR for the hotel through successful execution and influence of the total hotel revenue management strategy. The ADOS will sell and manage vertical group market segments and will provide leadership, training and oversight of the Limelight Mammoth group sales & event teams. This position reports to the Regional Director of Sales.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $96,000 - $120,000 plus sales incentive plan. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
Attend local meetings and special events as the lead Limelight Hotel sales contact from the community perspective
Works in concert with the property GM, Regional Director of Sales and Director of Revenue Management in determining group sales and events strategy
Supervise the day-to-day operations of the sales department and hire, train, mentor and coach performance of staff
Responsible for property's reactive and proactive sales efforts, providing day to day leadership to sales and event managers to achieve hotel sales objectives and revenue goals and additionally responsible for a portion of the group booking goal, which requires direct booking responsibilities
Develop personal and team sales goals and strategies and ensure alignment with the brand business strategy
Attend weekly management team meetings as scheduled by the property GM and other meetings as assigned
Lead strategic planning, execution, logistical trainings and sales trips
Participate in development of sales & marketing plan with the Regional Director of Sales
Organize, host and participate in Limelight Hotel and community fam trips
Assist Regional Director of Sales with administration, management and protocol guidance for Amadeus database with appropriate follow-up to Limelight Mammoth team
Prospect and develop accounts in vertical markets to generate leads and diligently follow up on new contacts made from sales efforts
Reply to assigned incoming vertical group leads as appropriate and have regular contact with client to ensure active leads are being booked
Ensure client and partner follow-up is accurate and timely for self and team
Assist in coordination of events, promotions, client relations and community initiatives
Work directly with revenue management team on available rates for each group and produce weekly, daily and monthly reporting as assigned
Develop personal and team sales goals and strategies and ensure annual budgeted revenue goals are achieved or exceeded
Manage invoicing and expense budget items as assigned
Coordinate client and staff needs with the other hotel departments as needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales and marketing, or related field preferred
Minimum of 4 years of hotel sales experience at a Manager or Senior Manager level required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in analyzing operational and financial data to guide improvement and innovation
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, HMS-Infor preferred
Results oriented with a proven track record in driving RevPAR
Excellent verbal and written English language skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team
Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop large, diverse teams
Capability to analyze complex situations, develop strategic initiatives, and execute solutions effectively
Strong ability to interact with guests, team members, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and relationship-building
Strong ability to develop annual revenue budget along with personal and team sales goals and strategies and ensure annual budgeted revenue goals are achieved or exceeded
Ability to work collaboratively & effectively with cross-functional leaders and their teams
Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
