Description:

Assistant Director for Risk Management leads the development and implementation of data-driven policy development and risk management strategies. This role combines traditional policy development with modern data science approaches to enhance risk identification, training effectiveness, and compliance monitoring.

This position will also be responsible for supervising the Training Manager as well as administrative tasks such as scheduling, coordination, record keeping, and other duties as required.
Strategic leadership in program development, implementation, and management
Ability to work with minimal oversight to achieve expected results
Strong, effective communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in a professional environment with stakeholders to achieve goals and solicit input to continually improve programs
Ability to effectively manage material resources and operational funding
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs
Ability to develop strategies for machine learning and AI model development
Ability to collaborate with multiple parties and develop policies that guide operations and compliance
Knowledge of machine learning and AI model development
Understanding of risk management principles and compliance requirements
Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills

REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK, PHYSICAL, AND DRUG SCREENING FOR INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CONTACT OR EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS OR ANIMAL TISSUES:

Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.
Degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Analytics, or related field
Experience with data analytics and AI tools
Minimum of 5 years' experience leading people, projects, and initiatives
Strong collaborative skills in policy development and compliance
Experience with risk analytics and predictive modeling
Certification in data science or analytics
Knowledge of regulatory compliance analytics
Experience with training effectiveness measurement and analysis
Experience working within higher education
Experience with software development and implementation
