- Around Uptown Charlotte, NC
- Hybrid, in office 3x a week, 2x remote.
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- Serve as a key legal advisor to the General Counsel, handling contract negotiations, drafting, and review to minimize risk while supporting business goals.
- Offer expert counsel on regulatory and compliance matters, including privacy laws, employment contracts, advertising standards, and relevant federal guidelines (e.g., FTC/FDA).
- Partner with internal teams across departments to ensure operational initiatives meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide day-to-day legal support on routine contract matters, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS :
- 7-10+ years of experience
- Demonstrated background in contract law with a strong preference for experience in data protection, intellectual property, talent acquisition, marketing law, or supply chain agreements.
- Skilled in approaching negotiations with flexibility and innovation to develop solutions that benefit all stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster productive relationships and clearly present legal guidance to a range of audiences.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in any U.S. state (North Carolina admission not required)
