Assistant Manager, CU History & Culture

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

$96,110.00 - $153,777.00

What You'll Be Doing

Responsible for supporting, developing and assisting in the management of the CU History & Culture team. Identifies specific learning and engagement needs through needs assessment and consultation with management. Supports organizational projects, All Team update segments, Planning Sessions and special events as needed.

  • Identify and uphold strategic objectives; determine specific operational learning and engagement needs through needs assessment and consultation with management/stakeholders.
  • Ensure the most effective technology and (adult) learning methodology strategies are used to meet program/meeting objectives; improve processes and elevate platforms, tools, and technologies to further enhance our capabilities.
  • Respond to complex/escalated situations in the classroom, on projects, with processes, or when needed for department needs.
  • Leads and provides expertise in the functions of the history & culture department, such as, service culture, team engagement, meeting preparation, event support, teammember development, and performance management.
  • Builds and maintains relationships throughout the organization to act as a liaison and proactively seek partnership opportunities with other business units.
  • Assists in the development of History & Culture strategies to achieve required department KPI's and targets.
  • May participate in the development of annual department budget.


Additional Job Functions

  • Supervises teammembers directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal and work allocation. Responsible for scheduling staff.
  • Helps establish, communicate and achieve the credit union's goals and standards, ensuring these are fully communicated to and understood by all department staff.
  • Identifies areas to streamline department and credit union operations.
  • Complies with all government regulatory policies, internal policies and procedures, audit standards, remains current on and informed of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and apprises staff.
  • May act in the capacity of the Manager in his or her absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 3-5 years previous related experience required
  • 1-3 years previous supervisory experience preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • Experience with interviewing, orientation, training and/or supervision of employees
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning, project management, instructional methodologies (train vs. facilitate)
  • Experience leading remote teams via technology, delivering presentations, designing curriculum
