Assistant/Associate Professor of Management Information Systems
The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Department of Management and Decision Sciences, starting in Fall 2025. The department is searching for a dedicated and passionate individual to contribute through research, teaching, and service. The successful candidate will actively engage in research and scholarship, aiming to publish high-quality work that advances the field. The primary teaching responsibility will be in Management Information Systems. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in business statistics, business analytics, or decision analysis, depending on departmental needs and the candidate's expertise. The teaching load is three courses per semester, totaling six courses per academic year, and may include in-person and online delivery. Beyond teaching, the role includes advising undergraduate students and contributing to the department, college, university, and the professional community.
To be considered, candidates should have a terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in information systems or a related field from an accredited institution. A.B.D. candidates with a clear plan to complete their degree by December 31, 2025, are also welcome to apply. Candidates with a completed Ph.D. or D.B.A. should have a recent and consistent record of publications in quality peer-reviewed academic journals. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and service, an ability or capacity to produce quality scholarly academic research, and effective communication and teamwork.
