Description:
MPU is adding a new leader at our power generation site and we are seeking applicants with strong power plant experience.
The Assistant Power Plant Manager-Maintenance position is responsible for overseeing the plant's maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize performance. This includes implementing predictive maintenance, long-term planning, and creating technical documentation.
This role also works closely with the Plant Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations, balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on fieldwork and maintaining effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees maintenance operations.
Implements predictive and condition-based maintenance.
Coordinates outage planning and execution.
Provides field engineering support.
Monitors plant performance and efficiency.
Sample of Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive experience and progressive leadership in power production.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, sciences, or similar field, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
Knowledge of codes and standards with ability to apply.
High level of technical knowledge, judgement and capability in a maintenance discipline.
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Pay Rate: $118,000 starting pay.
