SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support the principal, teachers and students in any way feasible that will promote the school and district goals toward education of students and provide a safe environment and physical plant for all to work in.
SUPERVISED BY: Principal
SUPERVISES: Administrative Assistants, Coaches, Teachers assigned by principal for evaluation/observation.
ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
- Serve as school/community communication liaison with regular communication to families.
- Supervise students and activities of designated student groups, including administration of budget, rules, eligibility, etc.
- Supervise students and administer school and district attendance and discipline policies.
- Observe and evaluate teachers and support staff as assigned by the principal.
- Facilitate Special Education, 504, MTSS staffings, appeals, hearings, etc.
- Identify, submit and follow up maintenance requests specific to facility safety and upkeep.
- Serve as an instructional leader for all departments.
- Supervise activities at school conducted by school and community groups.
- Coordinate and schedule day-to-day procedures and facility use.
- Attend home events and some away activities to assist with supervision, specifically regarding athletics.
- Supervise and evaluate instructional staff and coaches or activity sponsors.
- Act as the liaison between the district and school resource officer/law enforcement.
- Knowledge and practice of Restorative practices
- Serves as a substitute coach in the event of coaching vacancy or absence.
- Analyze, process, manage, and disseminate student data from a variety of sources.
- Plan, organize and set up standardized testing building wide.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA degree in Education or related field.
- Possess or be eligible for a Colorado Type D Certificate or Principal License.
- Relevant prior experience, including 3 years of successful teaching experience.
- Demonstrated effective problem solving skills
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, models of instruction.
- Knowledge of Special Education and Second Language Acquisition regulations and strategies for services.
- Coaching experience and knowledge of CHSAA regulations.
