TheUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks an Assistant Professor inAfrican Art History in the School of Art & Design. RequiredQualifications: Doctor of Art History or closely related field. Responsibilities: Develop and teach both general and specialized undergraduate courses for majorsand non-majors, as well as research-area focused seminars for graduatestudents. Teaching responsibilities include a 2/2 teaching load across twosemesters with one introductory course, one advanced undergraduate art historyseminar, and a graduate seminar. Additional duties include mentoring studentsat all levels, supervising PhD and M.A. dissertation/thesis work, contribute throughactive outreach with other campus units, and participation in universitycommittees. Courses this position could teach: ARTH 491; ARTH 299; ARTH510;ARTH 220; ARTH 413. Full Time.
