Project Details (Size, SOW, Site Background, etc.):

The Orange County Transportation Authority (Authority or OCTA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide program management and construction management services for proposed improvements to an existing office building that will become a new Headquarters Facility (Headquarters) for OCTA. The planned improvements include tenant improvements to the existing 10-story building and construction of a new one-story double-height building, approximately additional 8,000 square feet (SF), adjacent to the 10-story building (Project).

The Project site is approximately 5 acres and is located at 2677 North Main Street in the City of Santa Ana.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Ensures operations are executed in accordance with company project management procedures and policies
• Have thorough knowledge of construction practices, and the ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction schedules
• Be able to make effective decisions concerning field problems and work in progress
• Keep alert to possible problem areas and take preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project
• Ensure the use of sound and safe construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost
• Ensures workplace health and safety policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood by direct reports and enforces rules fairly and uniformly
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.):

• 3 years or more Construction Management experience, preferably in occupied buildings and/or new construction
• Experience with projects more than $10 million in value.
• A valid PE Registration for the State of California is preferred
• A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential is preferred
• Possess of a current OSHA 10 Hour Certification.
• Effective presentation skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations to the end users, stakeholders, board of education is required
• Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build -Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
• Working knowledge of P6 and Procore is strongly preferred
• A valid California driver's license, free from suspensions or restrictions is required

• This is NOT a work from home position
• This is a salaried position based on 40 hours per week at the applicable all-in labor rate.
• This is a Monday-Friday full-time position in the office or on the project site
• After hours or weekend work may be required to perform the duties of the position.
• This shall be considered part of the salary
