JOB SUMMARY:
This faculty position teaches Graduate Students primarily. There is a possibility of teaching or supporting undergraduate courses in the department and school. This faculty appointment is based on a 12-month schedule. The position is actively involved in scholarship/publications, extramurally funding, multidisciplinary research, and projects. The position teaches classes, provides service, mentors students, and actively recruits program applicants. The position provides expertise in one or more of the following domains: healthcare data science, data analytics, operations research, or informatics/information systems. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
The faculty position will be hired based on open rank (Assistant or Associate Professor) based on education and experience.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:
Provides teaching and education to students, trainees, staff, and other participants in healthcare policy, economics and management, and public health educational programs through lectures, didactics, and supervision in practicum settings.
Mentors and advises MHA and MPH students and serves as faculty for internship/practicum and capstone experiences.
Serves as subject matter expert on a variety of research studies.
Provides expert support to collaborators and mentoring junior investigators in research methods.
Develops an independent and collaborative research program.
Participates in committee functions and university governance as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
An earned doctorate in health services research, healthcare policy, health administration, public health or related discipline.
Associate-rank candidates must demonstrate a well-developed research portfolio, evidenced by top-journal publications.
Assistant-rank candidates must demonstrate a robust research pipeline with top-journal publication potential.
Preferred:
Operational experience in a healthcare delivery setting.
Experience teaching online.
