Job Summary

The Department of Comparative Pathobiology (CPB) at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM) is seeking a quantitative Veterinary Epidemiologist with an emphasis on infectious diseases. This tenure-track or clinical-track faculty position. Academic rank (assistant, associate, or full professor) and compensation will be commensurate with academic record and experience.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (or equivalent) in infectious disease epidemiology or a related One Health field conferred at the time of appointment.
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations commensurate with experience.


Responsibilities

The establishment of an independent, extramurally funded research program that trains graduate students and post-doctoral researchers is essential for those appointed in a tenure-track position. The establishment of multi-disciplinary and collaborative research is an expectation of clinical track faculty.

Candidates will also be expected to:
  • fulfill teaching assignments in the DVM, veterinary nursing, and graduate programs
  • participate in mentoring undergraduate, graduate, and professional DVM students
  • provide epidemiology and statistics support to faculty, residents, interns, and graduate students at the College of Veterinary Medicine
