Effective July 1, 2025, the Department of Paediatrics, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Division of Paediatric Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, an academic health science centre dedicated exclusively to children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is recruiting a full-time permanent (1.0 FTE) staff physician as an Academic Clinician. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time academic appointment at the University of Toronto, at the rank of assistant or associate professor.

Fellowship training or practice experience in academic general paediatrics or paediatric hospital medicine will be considered an asset.

The successful candidate should be fully trained in Paediatric Medicine, with interest, skills and training in QI/patient safety and/or medical informatics.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in research and hold an appointment in the SickKids Research Institute at least at the rank of Project Investigator. Active participation in teaching and attendance at rounds and other divisional events will be required. There are opportunities to combine general paediatric hospital medicine including complex care, with paediatric palliative care, child maltreatment pediatrics or other areas of clinical and academic focus.

All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or the equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Rank and salary ($227,000-$309,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance and a relocation package.
