Our high-performing, fun, and dynamic team is currently hiring for an Associate Director of Graduate Student Recruitment. Associate Directors are responsible for training, managing, developing, and driving results from a team of recruiters who engage prospective students of the graduate programs of the top-ranked W. P. Carey School of Business. This role emphasizes team performance and development, and cross-functional collaboration and will maintain some direct recruitment responsibilities. Successful candidates should be forward-thinking self-starters and have excellent relationship-building skills, as well as a passion for developing others.

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time, and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Communicate to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Use standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
  • This position receives semi-annual managerial review of objectives.
  • Work extended hours, including evening and/or weekends, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND seven (7) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Eleven (11) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of experience in higher education recruitment is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the graduate management education market and industry.
  • Evidence in leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and achieve goals in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and cultures.
  • Experience in applying recruiting/ selling techniques and methods.
  • Evidence of effective communications, including grammar and spelling.
  • Experience in CRM systems such as Salesforce and PeopleSoft.
  • Experience effectively delivering presentations and ideas to large and small groups

Essential Duties

  • Lead and mentor a team of recruiters, setting clear performance expectations, coaching for success, and fostering a high-performance, results-driven environment.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of both on-campus and virtual recruitment events, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure impactful engagement with prospective students.
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse, high-caliber applicants. Continually assess and refine strategies to meet the evolving needs of the school and the marketplace.
  • Ensure the efficient execution of recruitment processes, maintaining a working knowledge of all programs under the graduate portfolio, and addressing escalated concerns from prospective students.
  • Participate in key recruitment activities, including maintaining a caseload of prospective students, representing the school at events and networking opportunities both locally and internationally, as needed.
  • Collaborate with units inside and outside the school (e.g., alumni relations, athletics, panhellenic groups) to strengthen recruitment efforts and enhance the student experience.
  • Travel commitments may include domestic and international requirements involving extended and/or protracted periods of time
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
