Role Overview: As an Associate Attorney at Timoney Knox LLP, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive legal services to our clients. Responsibilities will encompass drafting various estate planning documents, assisting with estate and trust administration, and handling a diverse range of legal matters. Your exceptional client management and communication skills will be vital as you interact with clients and contribute to the firm's continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with estate and trust administration, including drafting family settlement agreements and trust modification agreements, and participating in estate and trust accountings.
- Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, health care directives and powers of attorney.
- Conduct legal research in the areas of estates, trusts and taxation.
- Preparation and review of personal and fiduciary income tax returns
- Work collaboratively as need with other practice areas
Requirements:
- Active license in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania (admission to other state bars is a plus)
- 3-5 years of experience in Trusts and Estates
- Reliable commute to Fort Washington, PA, and as-needed to Wayne, PA
- Strong client management and communication skills
- Ability to handle in-depth research assignments
- Ability to manage multiple assignments
- Ability to effectively communicate
Preferred Qualifications:
- More experience and portable business will be considered favorably
- LLM in Taxation will be considered favorably
