Job Summary
The Associate Dean for Curriculum and Program Development understands, promotes, and executes the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the Division of Instruction, Arapahoe Community College (ACC), and the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) with the goal of achieving instructional outcomes that align with the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE). This visible position represents the College to internal and external stakeholders and the community. The Associate Dean provides direction, and allocates time to developing internal and external partnerships, especially those related to development of educational partnerships which support student success.
The Associate Dean for Curriculum and Program Development is a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader responsible for driving academic excellence and student success through innovative program planning, assessment, and continuous improvement. This pivotal role shapes the future of our academic offerings, ensures educational excellence, and secures resources for transformative initiatives. The Associate Dean will serve as a collaborative leader for academic program planning, new program development, and academic pathway development with a goal towards a vibrant portfolio of academic programs which include both direct to workforce and transfer outcomes.

Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution or a bachelor's degree and two years' relevant experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis but will not count towards the two-year experience requirement below.
- Two years of administrative leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated experience in academic program development, evaluation and assessment.
- Proficiency in using data-driven approaches to improve organizational performance and student outcomes.
- Expertise in educational technology and innovative pedagogical approaches
- Commitment to student success and educational excellence.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and their applications in education.
- Experience in mentoring faculty and staff in program development and assessment practices.
- Project management experience including budget, timeline, deliverables and scope management.
- Grant development and management experience.
