JOB PURPOSE:
Data Integrity and analytics is an integral part of building and maintaining a healthy CRM, which promotes strategic and targeted philanthropic engagement. The Associate Director of Data and Analytics will oversee, manage and implement all software integrations and data projects related to maximizing and increasing Howard University's engagement with donors, volunteers and potential prospects. This role is vital to the growth and sustainability of Howard University's fundraising efforts.
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Position(s): Sr, Database Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Reporting to and working daily with the Director of Advancement Services to develop, implement, manage CRM integrations and data analytics. Oversees and develops standards for data acquisition, data entry and data importing into the CRM (Raiser's Edge). Ensures that Development and Alumni Relations Operations is staying abreast of and implementing best practices related to data collection, data health and analytics. This position oversees and manages database onboarding and training for DAR staff. Leads and manages all data hygiene projects in conjunction with the Senior Database Analyst. Serves as the liaison Howard University's Enterprise Technology Team (ETS) and point of contact for integrated software.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This position is vital for the continuity and maintenance of all CRM integrations, while maximizing the full potential of all DAR's technological resources towards fulfilling fundraising goals. The Associate Director of Data and Analytics will manage reporting and data analysis for DAR fundraising team, deans and other departmental leads.
The position leads efforts to ensure continuous improvement within the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT database, EverTrue relationship management, and other integrated software packages. Core responsibilities include advanced data analytics, querying, importing, and exporting large data sets as well as adding new graduates, parents, students, National Change of Address (NCOA), and other external data to the database on an ongoing basis.
Other responsibilities include upholding donor, prospect and volunteer confidentiality standards and adherence to all data protection policies.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree preferred; 6 years of relevant experience.
Compliance Salary Range Disclosure
Expected Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00

CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrated proficiency in database management and systems integration
- Demonstrated proficiency in query and report building in a development CRM (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Ellucian, Salesforce or similar)
- Computer software proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data
- Strong written and oral communication skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
