Who You Are
Associate Director, Facilities provides safe and compliant facilities and infrastructure enabling the organization to advance on its mission to develop and manufacture therapies for our patients. This includes day-to-day general maintenance and operations of buildings, utilities, premises, EMS/BMS systems and CMMS for all Kriya sites. They manage Facilities staff as well as third party vendors and contractors to support Kriya's needs.

How You Contribute
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the facilities that support the company's budget, growth, and operational objectives.
  • Ensure all facilities operations adhere to both GMP and non-GMP industry guidelines and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Establish, lead, and manage a team of facilities professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the facilities budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficient operations and identifying opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers for general building maintenance and repairs, calibrations, utility maintenance, and utilities improvement projects. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and oversee the upkeep of facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Lead facility-related projects, from planning and design through to execution and completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Research and Development, Supply Chain, EHS, IT/OT, People Operations, Legal, and Finance etc. to document and support end user requirements.
  • Manage work order requests and ensure completion within established timelines in accordance with SOPs and Good documenting practices using computerized maintenance management system.
  • Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensure the system is kept up to date and meets GMP and business needs.
  • Develop KPIs and monitor critical facility and utility services for proper function and take immediate corrective action to resolve any issues.
  • Supports departmental activities related to quality systems such as change control, deviations, risk analysis, root cause analysis, CAPA and other activities.


What You Bring to the Team

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in GMP facilities management, preferably in gene therapy or biologics industries

Competencies
  • Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with proven ability to foster strong relationships with other team members and stakeholders
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Good customer/client relationship management and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus


Working Conditions
  • Primarily desk-based, generally in an office or home office setting
  • May involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
  • Work may involve exposure to chemicals or biological materials.
  • Ability to climb ladders/steps.
